bad attitude
I was google searching for a family law attorney that would meet with me for a no-charge consultation. Stange Law Firm was on the list as doing “pro-bono” work on some cases. So I completed their online contact form with a description of my issue AND that I contacted them because they were listed with Legal Aid as being a firm that does pro-bono work. I let them know I had no income & would they consider offering me help as one of their pro-bono cases. A couple of days later I received a voice mail message that they had received my message & that I should contact them if I was interested in pursuing my issue further. A couple of days later I called the phone number they left in their VM message to set up an appointment for consultation. I’ve heard & read that many attorneys offer a complimentary consultation so I did not expect that to be an issue. I did, however, ask about the “pro-bono” services & was rudely told…”we don’t do that”. I explained where I found that info, etc., & again…very rude response that the info I was given was wrong & they don’t do that. As I began going into the steps I took & where I found my information…she simply hung up on me. Really??? Who would want to do business with someone that treats possible clients with such rudeness? Can you imagine wanting to talk to your attorney with questions & this lady gets your call? – I certainly would not choose this firm. As the saying goes…EVERYONE that works for a company is a direct representative & voice for that company & should represent it in a respectful, professional manner. That’s certainly not what my experience was with them. Very upsetting to be treated so badly.
