Yoga Chaitanya's Ashtanga and Yin Teacher Certification, Explained
Yoga Chaitanya International Institute offers an Ashtanga and Yin teacher certification structured as a 23-day residential program, run at campuses in Goa and the Himalayas. The training centers on Ashtanga Vinyasa's Primary Series, taught through Led classes and Mysore-style supervision, with Yin Yoga integrated as a complementary module for structural and energetic balance.
Alongside asana work, the program includes pranayama, yoga philosophy, meditation, subtle anatomy, and mudra and bandha study, taught by founder Sukhvinder Singh Chaitanya, an E-RYT 500 and YACEP-certified teacher with more than 20,000 hours of teaching experience. Students also complete a supervised teaching practicum, progressing from one-to-one sessions to leading a full group class by the end of the training.
On successful completion, graduates receive certification aligned with Yoga Alliance's RYS 200 standard. The program is designed for practitioners who want a method-based Ashtanga foundation alongside a second, recovery-focused skill set, rather than a broad, multi-style overview. Prior teaching experience is not required, though a regular personal practice is recommended before arrival.
