Using a hydraulic machine, the heavy-gauge pipe is screwed deep into the ground, below the frost line. The softer the soil, the deeper the pile is driven, in some cases requiring an extension to increase the length. We utilize the best pressure gauge technology on the market to know when the pier has reached an adequate level of resistance. Standard formulas allow us to convert the torque readout to the bearing load required by code.
