Karen Buckalew is a board-certified nurse practitioner and the founder of Boutiq Medical Clinic. Her journey into healthcare was born from a place of deep personal conviction after losing her father to heart disease. This experience ignited a passion to provide compassionate, patient-centered care that could truly make a difference in people's lives. Karen began her career as a cardiac progressive care nurse, where she spent seven years supporting patients and their families through some of their most challenging moments. Driven by a desire to expand her impact, she went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing and became a board-certified nurse practitioner. Her diverse background spans cardiology, internal medicine, and aesthetic medicine, all unified by a simple, powerful philosophy: people first. In March 2020, Karen opened Boutiq Medical Clinic, a testament to her courage and unwavering commitment to serving the Orlando community, even in the face of a global health crisis. Her leadership and dedication were recognized by local news and Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. Beyond her clinic, Karen is a passionate advocate for community health, actively fundraising and raising awareness for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). At Boutiq Medical, Karen has cultivated a unique environment where science-backed wellness and natural aesthetic results meet personalized care. Guided by her principle to "enhance, not erase," she focuses on helping patients look and feel like the best version of themselves—refreshed, empowered, and authentic. Her vision is to continue providing highly personalized, relationship-driven care that elevates the quality of life for every patient she serves.
